but this is quite different.  like a beloved piece of a younger me being taken away or something.

Reading the news of his death announced today was like a punch in the gut to me.  Even though I'd heard he was in the hospital (and was of course not a young man), it didn't seem possible that he would leave us just yet.  He will be sorely missed.  :'( 


RIP, Mr. Nimoy.  Thanks for all you did.  May your spirit rest easy on its journey to the final frontier.
