Ashes of Singularity hardly seems to redefine.
Supreme Commander did that already and there are clones of it that expanded upon the concept.

Just read through these two descriptions in the Stardock marketing emails and both look pretty good to me...Servo especially. It's been a while since I've played any sci fi titles so I am looking forward to both. Was happy to see that they both have strong single player campaigns too.
