I thought this was the perfect mental/aural embodiment of walking down 'the chute' in high school playoff football.  Somebody did a superb job on capturing the mood at that moment in the movie.

Firehouse are from Charlotte, so that's the NC connection
They were big shit there for a while from 90-92 or so, especially when you're working at a metal station in NC
