Comics Alliance and Screen Crush have been teaming up for a while to do trivia episodes on various comics which have movie or TV properties.

This week, Ultron trivia with several interesting/potential connections to the MCU (including Ultron bringing together Star Lord and Rocket Raccoon for the first time in the comics):

I think I heard this was coming a few months ago, but it's... interesting... that (one of?) the new Inhuman series, releasing this week, is called "The Uncanny Inhumans".

The MCU is leaning hard on the IHus replacing mutants in its milieu, but that's pushing the replacement concept awfully hard.

(Though insofar as the Earth X / Universe X miniseries is an alternate future version of main canon, mutants actually do share the same origin as the Inhumans and all other Earth 'marvels': Celestial genetic manipulation to protect the cradle of a gestating baby Celestial from threats like Galactus. This potential was what the Kree, or a renegade faction of them, were experimenting with to create weapons via terragenesis, resulting in the Inhumans.)

I 1000% expect them to do the same with Captain America in Cap3 (since after all the comics did): Cap "dies", someone takes over for a while, Cap's back in time for Infinity War Part 2.

He makes a very valid point.  When death becomes cheap like that, it really loses its emotional impact.

Was watching Capt. America 2 again the other night and the Hydra bad guy was mentioning all of Hydra's enemies and included Steven Strange in the list. So, there was a hint for Avengers 2 right there. I missed it first time around.

I somewhat doubt he'll be in Av2 (unless he's gathering new Avengers in the post-credit); but he's certainly on the way for Phase 3 and Av3.1.

To the great surprise of absolutely no one who was speculating about whatever obscure neckbearded Marvel character Andy Serkis might be playing in a story involving Ultron and thus also vibranium (a key component in adamantium, which was introduced in an Ultron story many years before Wolverine snikt along with it)...

...he's playing Ulysses Klaw, the best-known villain for the Black Panther. Pretty much confirming that Wakanda and vibranium (and thus probably adamantium, at least as a threat/goal for Ultron) will be in the movie, if not T'Challa (or his dad T'Chaka) himself. Serkis confirmed it himself a night or two ago, saying it's a minimal role in the film.

Klaw eventually becomes an insane sound-based creature, capable of fighting the Avengers single-handed; and Serkis definitely helped the motion-capture work on the film, perhaps directing it, too (he's been directing mo-cap for feature films as a 2nd unit director for a while -- also some video games.)

So I DVR'ed Days of Future Past to watch last weekend, and Quicksilver is totally in that one, though they don't specifically name him as such.  There's only so many super-fast white-haired guys named "Maximoff" out there.

How are they getting around the licensing / rights of having him in the X-Men continuity and the Avengers continuity?

The legal answer, is that Marvel negotiated the rights to be shared, because Scarlet Witch is such a key Avenger (and if her, then also her brother Quicksilver as a package).

Even in comics canon I'm not sure they're still the children of Magneto; the connection with Von Strucker in the film didn't come out of nowhere, it has its roots in some part of the canon at one point.

Whether they're Inhumans or not in the MCU seems more up in the air.

Are they just trying to dodge it by not having QS "named" in the X-men continuity and not introducing Scarlet Witch?

I just finished watching Days of Future Past and what was all that shit at the end trailer with the lady building the Pyramids and the 4 horsemen? I don't know how many more superheros/villians I can absorb.
