I can live with a dancing Han Solo because I'll never get that game. 

But I just read this article and stopped at the part where they threaten to put in-game ads.  Let me tell you something, I'm shaking my fists in rage right now.  If games of the future are crammed with these ads that interrupt gameplay, I will hunt down each and every one of those ad companies and torch the place. 

And I will lead a clandestine group of fellow gamers and wage non stop guerrilla war on these greedy pigs until we get our games back ad free.


Other than that I have no strong opinion on the matter.

I understand that crap like that would get you angry but I have to warn you to not post threats of burning places down, etc. You never know who could be reading.

Good point brother.  Indeed I thought of that as I was typing.  I'm using that language to illustrate a point but like you say you never know who's monitoring.  However, I would be willing to modify my rant if need be.   ;)

What they don't spell out is what type of games these would be used in (if it's ever even used at all), and that's pretty important, because from a logical standpoint, it seems to me like they're setting themselves up for the free-to-play market. It's the only method they can use to compete with the ridiculously lucrative "dollar app" market, and aside from charging for in-game perks and products the way Facebook does, in-game commercials seems to be the most logical way to make money off of them. If you think a company can just throw out a game for free without collecting at least some form of revenue in return, you need to stop reading this article and come back when you have some hair on your ass.

I totally called it that it was for F2P or the App market!
