Anyone watching this?

There's a monkeyload of CGI and a lot of mediocre set design.
The acting is OK, but not great.
The story is intriguing, though.  And the way they jettison pretty much every Clash-of-the-Titans-inspired mythological trope makes for a very different type of story than pretty much every other mythology-inspired story we've seen in the US.

Never even heard of it. How are the other current Syfy scripted dramas? I've only been following Haven and Helix (which I'm behind on) right now. Most of the stuff I liked gets cancelled abruptly (Continuum, Stargate Universe, Caprica, The Dresden Files, Farscape, Invisible Man, Painkiller Jane, Primeval/Primeval: New World, Sanctuary, Secret Adventures of Jules Verne). At least the first two Stargate series as well as BSG, WH13, and Eureka were give a chance to wrap up their storylines.

No idea, since I don't watch many of them. I decided to give this one a chance. They blew all the budget on cgi, and skimped on actors with talent. Well, except for Matt Frewer, who seems to be at least partially owned by the network, since he's in everything they make.
The story isn't bad tho, so I'm trying to stick with it in the hopes it's got some special in store

I don't watch series created by SyFy much, but I enjoyed Dominion.  It's an unusual theme.

Second season supposedly starting in July.  O0

I don't think Continuum is a SyFy show.  I think they just replay it from someone else.  And, according to the SyFy website, it's coming back again this year.

I'd read something somewhere that the devs were telling fans the show had not been renewed by the network. I hope that's wrong because it was getting interesting in a multiple time-paradox kinda way.

Yep, season 4 is the last season, with only 6 episodes.  The creator was going for 7-10 seasons.

And, yes, it's Canadian.

Thanks for the update. I had not checked in a while.

Well, it is set in Vancouver after all.  ;)

(SDR probably cringes every time the show uses some recognizable building for a totally different place, much like the anglo version of Wallander using the lobby of Ysadt's municipal swimming pool as the entrance to the police station.)

I gave up.  I had about 4 of them stacked up on the DVR where I got behind over the last few crazy weeks, but trying to get back into it I just couldn't believe I made it as far into the show as I did.  It's just crap.  Bad acting, horrid plot, pathetic (and copious) CGI, not nearly enough of the gods/goddesses...  it's like someone's really bad 10th-grade drama project got the Rachel Black treatment by a doting studio-head father.  I just couldn't go on anymore.  I'm DVR'ing Killjoys instead and see how that is.

I never heard of it either. I'm waiting on the next Sharknado.

Soon come, Mon.

I tried watching one episode and stopped before the end.

Syfy has some low budget stuff, but this was worse.  The writing and the acting alone was ... ugh.
