My most played Solitaire game just got a new (fourth) expansion, In Tales Of Old.  Surprised there hasn't been a thread on this game, here.

Some of you are familiar with DN, so you can skip this summary paragraph:
Basically a strategy game with some Adventure Game style theme, where you sneak around with four characters attempting to defeat a Necromancer who has conquered the land.  I say "sneak" because it's essentially a dark fantasy guerilla war you are fighting and if a character loses enough "Secrecy", s/he will begin to be hounded and attacked.  Not only does it have this sneaky facet, but each of the many available characters has it's own unique deck of ability cards, which lends each one a different play style.  I really enjoy these varied player powers, how they're used together between the characters, the movement on the board, and dealing with the blights & searches.  There is a good amount of decision making to be had for a solitaire game, considering the situation and the available abilities at any one moment, and that's why it's popular.

While the game could be pretty tough to win, I eventually figured out that if you can steadily focus on searching for the Keys to unlock the Relic (needed to defeat the Necromancer) early in the game that you would have a much better chance of winning, given some decent card draws, dice rolls, and preferably a character with some search bonus ability.  Maybe not reliably win, before the minions get out of hand, but it increased my win rate (which was less than 50% of the time beforehand).

However, this latest expansion introduces the option to use Mystery Cards.  Instead of just needing to search for three keys to unlock the Relic needed to attempt a fight against the Necromancer, the Mystery cards provide some random goals needed to unlock clues which are then used to get the relic.  So it neutralizes my Key focus approach.  Which is great because now I'll be forced to improvise strategy as they pop up, while still considering all the other stuff going on.  Should increase the difficulty again.

The newest expansion also has more of those nasty Red Blights, along with the usual extra characters, items, and cards.  The new Red Blights will probably increase the difficulty even more.   O0  I think it could be one of the best expansions for DN, but I'll let you know after I give it a run or two.  :smiley6600:
