I enjoy Carcassonne as well but have had a terrible luck finding people willing to play it. Seems to have a bit of a reputation.

Sounds like I've been working the wrong crowd/age group.

Carc can also be easily played online, too.  There's a variety of servers, and there's also a pretty good official Android app for it.

Finished up a game of Small World and the 6 year old won the game.  She is a brilliant Small World strategist.

I'd actually looked at Kingdom Builder the other day and put it on the pile of possible purchases I was building at the FLGS.  Yes they all were staring at me.  Yes they might have considered kicking me out of the store as I pulled more games off the shelf to add to the pile of possibility.  Yes they were all too happy to ring me out with three games. And yes I put the unselected games back in their correct spots on the shelves.

Just wrapped up an afternoon session of Ticket to Ride, which is basically the ultimate wargame that shares a lot in common with ASL.

I'm now going to work on spreading GMTs Panzer across my gaming table.

I've spent the afternoon with my buddy learning how to play Combat Commander. Its not bad at all.

Nope.  It's a great game.

MInd you, I really don't want to invest in yet another gaming system - and there are a lot of expansion out for CC.

Mrs.B would NOT be amused!

Yes there are 3 major expansions and 6 mini-expansions.  However, the base game is a lot of content and would take a long time to play through the scenarios not to mention the replayability of them.

I'm so sad now that I don't have one of you're fancy English keyboards with the £ sign.  You just need to get a bail of twine and a few pillows to create a head cushion to soften the blow of the frying pan.
