Very interesting. The founder and lead developer also developed Breed. That was a game that belly flopped, but had tremendous potential. I still go back to it from time to time to check if there have been any fan made patches or mods.

If CAP2 is anything like Super VGA Harrier, the game will kick ass.

Anything with Harriers sounds good to me. I really liked the Falklands mod for Strike fighters 2, for example. Maybe 2 is a good number for jet fighter sims that don't go down the DCS road.

There are better multi-role sim options for flight sims than Harriers IMO, but I'm not going to look a dynamic campaign horse in the mouth.

I'm just wondering if it can be a proper sim while still being made for numerous console systems, as advertised. I don't mind some simplification (as in Strike Fighters 2) in flight sims, and actually find them refreshing at times, but a "sim" made for consoles gives me pause.

Even in DCS you can simplify things to something that could be workable on a console. Also, this team seems savvy enough to build a program that can work across platforms (with the PC being the sim pinnacle).

Other nice things are -- it will be on steam early on and planes fly from assault ships so you don't have the monster carrier thing going on (which I have always found a bit dull). There were some other odd but promising bits: missile trails that seem to have either been spoofed or gone ballistic or were fired at friendly ships or were decoys and some big rocks.

I considered supporting this but the package that gives you MP in beta (50 squids!) is too rich for me. I'll be watching this one with interest though. Harrier love.

I definitely want a Harrier - love 'em. But I think I will hold off until I see some goodies coming out. I don't necessarily want a DCS - but I definitely don't want a Strike Fighters either.

I genuinely mean - Good Luck. A Harrier sim is definitely worth my money. Hopefully it's good enough to warrant my cash. I know it'll be difficult to please everyone...but good luck. O0
