...not for a "brag"...but for the US people mostly who haven't visited Europe and anyone from the EU that hasn't visited this part of Spain.

We stayed at El Faro, between Malaga and Marbella. It was quiet - just what you want with a family - and our first "summer" holiday (holiday in the sun) since 2000. It was my 14 year olds first "summer" holiday. I'm putting "summer" in quotes because there is not proper "summer" in the UK of late

We were only away for a week and we spent about £600 (€800) in general spending but with another £800 for flights and £300 for the accommodation...so in total about £1700 or €2400

Holidays in Europe are expensive (even just in the UK) - though it's cheaper in Europe at the moment because of the Euro/GBP exchange rate (£1 - €1.4)

Anyway - the pictures....I didn't take many, so this is what I've got...

It was a great week. First "summer" holiday since 2000 and expensive (for us at least) but very enjoyable. I could get used to the sun shining on my old joints and bones!

It was.

I suppose I may be making a big deal of this because we're from the UK where you are lucky to get 2 consecutive days of sunshine in the summer and even luckier if the temperature goes above 25 degrees Celsius.

I know you only have to move between states in the US to get that kind of difference...but in the UK, you have to go abroad!

Looks wonderful, JD!  I lived in that type of locale for fifteen years.  It certainly has its advantages.  Glad to see the kids nose deep in their mobiles is universal :)

Malaga used to have some great evening entertainment.
Used to be some very good flamenco troupes. The variety was impressive.

Very nice JD! We were looking at planning a trip to southern Spain but in the end decided to wait another year.
