Indeed!

Lots there I wanted but sticking to the pair of 50% off games I can get.  The season in which I hemorrhage money to taxes and holiday gifts is nigh, so restraint is in order.  Maybe.  Be strong!  :))

Picked up Twin Peaks (I don't currently have any ACW tactical stuff), and the new Pax Romana edition.

Not sure if I'm gonna keep my previous version of PR.  May donate it, if I don't feel the need to pillage extra counters or anything.

Anybody get and play Genisis yet? That's the only thing I might buy. I didn't get any P500 this year so I can only get 20% off....

I've heard mixed reviews of Genesis, and not just b/c of the unmounted board fiasco.

Silent Disapproval Robot

I was hoping to grab Churchill but it's out of stock.

+1 but Pacific Typhoon.

I was also looking to pick up Andean Abyss (I blame the Netflix show Narcos) but it's also out of stock.  No sales for me.  Oh well, probably for the best as my taxes will be going up now anyway.

I have it, but have not punched & played.

The rules were an easy read and organized fairly well.  The game's basically a revised Pax Romana with fewer annoying "special rules" to keep track of.  I expect it to be a great option as a grand strategy wargame ideal for 3+ players, but without heavy rules and long turn times.

The one AAR I read about it gave a good impression, although the factions may not all be balanced.

EDIT:

Joel Toppen just put out one of his 'Inside The Game' vids on Genesis, if you want to see how it generally plays:

I keep waffling back and forth about Dominant Species. It looks really interesting and I have the iPad version but not sure I'd ever get my game group to play it....

I thought it looked a bit interesting but... I own Bios: Megafauna, which is one of those damn interesting Phil Eklund games, with a similar subject.  Don't think I need another, unless it's one of Phil's sequels.

The irony is, the more GMT I buy during the year, the less gaps there are in my library.  This year, only buying one game, C&C Napoleonics; Spanish Army and counter trays.

Knowing GMT's past shipping habits, maybe we'll see our orders.... around New Years?   ???
