Explosions and Shootout in Paris

There is something going on in Paris.  There have been two explosions near a soccer stadium and a shootout at restaurant in Paris.  There have been several deaths in the shootout.  Nothing yet on the explosions.

-- At least six shootings took place in Paris and three explosions took place at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis late Friday, CNN affiliate BFMTV said. Two or three gunmen entered the Bataclan concert hall while opening fire on law enforcement, BFMTV reported. A source earlier told CNN there were six to six hostage takes, citing a person they were talking to inside the venue.

Concert hall battle is over, two tangos dead. One arrested from somewhere (not necessarily from the hall) claims ISIS sponsored the attack.

Exactly what I was thinking. They've been kicking ass in Africa pretty well now for... a year or two? Kind of wondered (still do) if this attack was related to that. If it was triggered instead by the successful intersection of that supply road this morning (go Kurds!), then all ISIS did is awaken a sleeping dwarf and fill him with a terrible resolve. They didn't need more enemies, and certainly none like this.

Curious that one of the targets was a Cambodian restaurant. I doubt we'll ever know the rationale for choosing that, but it would be interesting to learn what it was...

It probably has more to do with the regular clientele (esp. if tourist) than with the owners.

I'm going with home grown (or at least many years residing) who have recently been 'on vacation'.
