Peace & quiet finally returns to the homestead-- for a short time. So it's time to slap some Russians in DC Case Blue while I can do it and clean-up all the blood and destroyed tanks on the floor before the next crowd hits. Don't you just love the holidays?

Bison I think I'm going to take a leaf out of your book and always select my class randomly.  Sounds like a fun way to play, and that way I'll get to see classes I wouldn't normally pick.  Goddamn Illwinter make some amazing games innit.

Maybe I'll do an AAR around Christmas time.  Illwinter games tell great stories of the rise and more offen fail of imperial desires.

That seems like quite a lot of crap to keep track of Bison.  Is there anything that makes it easier?  Or is it one unit, one move?

Still waiting for true peace and quiet to return...in about an hour after I drop my sister and mother at the train station.

I have made some good progress in Assassin's Creed Syndicate despite the lack of above peace and quiet and a rough start where I was too tired to really get going with the game.

But now I've finished the first chapter. It's digging its manacles into me :)

Yes beholders are one of the mythic creatures you can summon as a druid.  You need to level up to the 3rd tier magic level and research until you get a spell called something like call mythic beasts or some such thing.  It's pretty expensive 600 herbs for the level cost plus 600 until you get the right spell and then 600 a summon until you get the beholder.  You can also get gryphons, treants, wyverns, and a couple of other mythic beasts.

It's easy because other than assigning units to leaders, the only real control you have over the battle is you can select the spells that you leader units cast.  So in that battle I had to assign spells for my two druids and my beholder.  Everything is automated by the game.  It's one of the beautiful features of illwinter games.

There's no unit micromanagement, you just move commanders and transfer units between them.  A 100-unit army is as easy to manage as a lone scout.

My great COE4 victory has been followed up with 4 quick destructions of my empires.  The starts really make a huge difference.  Love it.
