During filming of Airplane, Leslie Nielsen used a whoopee cushion to keep the cast off-balance. Hays said that Nielsen "played that thing like a maestro"

Master Chiefs are sneaky, dastardly, and snarky miscreants who thrive on the tears of Ensigns and belly dancers.   Admiral Gerry Bogan.

Very cool they put that genetic info out there.

I'm not too surprised since even the Romans claimed they were originally exiles from Troy & they were closely intermingled with the Etruscans during their earliest history.

Plus the spread of colonies from the eastern Med had begun to be a somewhat regular thing around the time quoted (1200BC).  IIRC, that was also around the Late Bronze Age Collapse/Dark Age when there was a mysterious regression or outright termination of many civilized areas, famines, and raids (the "Sea Peoples" period).   Quite a mess; people were GTFO'ing.

Fascinating!  From the sound of it, they even brought their cattle with them too.

Same reason pigs were one of the first European pests introduced to the Americas by the Spaniards.  Livestock is a portable food source.

Helps move your food when it has legs and walks on it's own.  ;D  And doesn't rot halfway through a trip (while it's alive anyway).  Bring some low value feed and eat "high on the hog" whenever you feel like slaughtering one for more, fresh, food.  ;)
