And the latest is these yahoos didn't bring enough food.  So they are asking people send them vittles through the US Postal Service, General Delivery.

None of them led troops as POTUS. Washington in the above article was President and said 'hold on a sec while I sort this out'.

You did ask if we could 'imagine' a POTUS leading troops.  The three I listed I could imagine doing that if the need arised.

Grant's alcoholism was heavily exaggerated by his rivals and enemies. He drank to excess mostly during periods of quiet or little activity.
