Ok. Watched the latest episode. I like how they are tying some of the season's previous story arcs together.

Ward is a very good bad guy. I'm glad they are getting him back into the story line.

And I saw a commercial for Agent Carter coming back in January. :D

That's how they were promoting his inclusion in marketing. Also explains why he wasn't in Winter Soldier during the coup, I guess.

I like those two characters a lot, but I'm of mixed feelings about spinning them off. I'd rather the series be about them! -- but the main series has gotten a lot better, and yet I'm not thrilled about having two series of 'this' sort, and anyway a significant amount of the improvement came from introducing Bobbi and Hunter.

Ideally I suppose I'd prefer a couple of TV movies a year.

Meanwhile... so I suppose I'm not surprised that, despite the teases in terminology, the thing on the blue planet wasn't Thanos (who after all is VERY VERY OBVIOUSLY comic-book Thanos). I don't recall what if anything in canon the Cthuluistic demon thing is supposed to be; but I love that they're going the distance in tying Hydra to a quasi-Cthulhu, and moreso how Maveth or whatever will be factoring into the plot next half-season.

(May be worth noting that the folks at TVWiki, who are generally well informed, think of the planet as being Maveth, not the entity, which they only call It. So I probably shouldn't think in terms of using "Maveth" in trying to figure out if this is a new character or an obscure comic-canon, or a re-imagined canon character.)

I honestly kind of worry, with this level of ramp-up, how the resolution could not be disappointing, and where the show would even be able to go from here after this season.
