Thanks.  Usual perfect timing.  I'd been waiting to hear about a job on Vancouver Island.  Got the call as I was in the emergency room and had to tell the guy I'd call him back tomorrow.

Sir Slash

Damn SDR. What a shit of a day man. Glad you're OK and hopes the job's still there. You want us to send references for you? Here's mine, "This guy will go without sleep, miss seeing Star Wars, and walk out of the Emergency Room for this damned job. You better hire him". And the movie.... the good guys win.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

Martok

Jesus, SDR.  :o  Glad you're okay, man.

My Dad had a small heart attack a few days after seeing Ep 7, too, so... COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!!

Someone has a confrontation with their dad, possibly also someone has a confrontation with their dad, one or more of which may or may not end with someone falling from an overhang, the Death Star gets blown up good, Chewie roars and kills some fools, the MilFalcon saves the day, there's weird sexual tension between a possible brother and sister, 3PO poses with D2, Jedi Mind Tricks (pranking James Bond this time in a hilarious hidden cameo), the princess congratulates everyone back at the jungle base. You know. The usual.

Saw it this evening.

Looks like Luke went on a wild bender and disappeared.  Nobody looked for him for 30 years because they understood what a drunk he was. That is what I thought after seeing the opening "big words" on the star field.

No real surprises to me.  Close to a straight remake of the first one back in 1977 when I was 15.

Enjoyed the movie - but I don't see any reason to see it again.

I'm glad you are OK.  Sounds like a scary experience.  Just found out because I've stayed away from this thread until I got a chance to see the movie.

somehow, Mirth posting something where the key line is "never bothered me before" just restores balance to the force.
