Why the hell was a kid waving a nazi flag during the celebration at the end of the movie?

They were laying the groundwork for a sequel. That kid grows up to hunt down the members of Kelly's group to recover the gold and start the 4th Reich.

I've watched the movie a bunch of times, I even own it, and I've never noticed that before. Next viewing I'll have to watch for it. I do know that the film was made in Yugoslavia so maybe some of the extras were confused as to what enemy they were supposed to be rooting for, being that Yugoslavia was then a communist country.
