Looks like a lot of us are in the same boat and often have difficulties finding local gamers to play against so why don't we set up a GH VASSAL/Tabletop Sim directory and see if we can get some games going here?

Post a list of what you've got and/or what you'd like to play and your comfort level.

SDR:

VASSAL

Bomber Command.         Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.  PBEM or real time is fine.
Wing Leader.                  Comfortable with the rules (shut up Barth).  PBEM or real time OK.  Willing to teach.
Twilight Struggle.            Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.  PBEM, forum-based, or real time is fine.
Nightfighter.                   Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.  PBEM, forum-based, or real time is fine.
Puerto Rico.                    Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.  PBEM, forum-based, or real time is fine.
Enemy Coast Ahead.        Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.  PBEM, forum-based, or real time is fine.

Paths of Glory.                Somewhat familiar with the rules.  PBEM or real time is fine but real time will be slow as I'd have to look lots of stuff up.
Empire of the Sun.          Somewhat familiar with the rules.  PBEM or real time is fine but real time will be slow as I'd have to look lots of stuff up.

Bloody April.                   I own in but haven't read the rules yet.  I'd like to try but someone's got to take the lead on it.  real time is fine.

Tabletop Simulator

Star Wars: Armada.                              Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.
Star Wars: X-Wing.                               Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.
Star Wars LCG.                                     Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.
Betrayal at the House on the Hill.           Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.
Puerto Rico.                                         Highly familiar with the rules and willing to teach.

VASSAL

Anything from the LnLP tactical series.... I've made the newer modules and worked on the older ones... willing to teach, live or PBEM.
Dawn's Early Light.... familiar with the rules, willing to learn more with others live or PBEM.
LnLP World at War series.... familiar with rules, willing to learn with others live or PBEM.
LnLP nations at War series... familiar with rules, willing to teach live or PBEM.
LnLP tank on Tank Series.... willing to teach live or PBEM.

GMT's Wing Leader... Comfortable with the rules, but not as good at SDR.... willing to teach live or PBEM.
GMT's Unconditional Surrender... Familiar with rules, willing to learn with others, multi-live sessions or PBEM.
GMT's Labyrinth... Familiar with rules, willing to learn with others, live or PBEM(might be too slow this way).
GMT's Bloody April.... read rules, played a few turns, willing to learn with others, live or PBEM, either way will take a bloody long time to play.
GMT's Empire of the Sun... never read the rules want to learn any way I can.

Decision Games RAF two player... have read rules but never played the 2 player game. Live or PBEM.... hmmmm... is there even a module for this..... need to look that up.....

AH's Bismarck.... this would be great with 2 players and a ref. PBEM. Knew rules long ago but willing to re-learn and teach and be ref.

Dream game: multiplayer game of Federation and Empire. New module coming out. Will take years to play but it's just too cool not to list here.

Us Canuck's are a lonely bunch it seems ::)

here's my list O games with a Vassal module:

-Advanced Squad Leader
-Axis & Allies 1940 edition (Europe & Pacific)
-Blocks in the East
-EastFront
-FAB The Bulge
-FAB Sicily (don't own but have core rules and played it before)
-No Retreat!: The Russian Front
-RAF: The Battle of Britain 1940 (Decision Games)
-Roads to Leningrad (GMT)
-Russia Besieged
-Up Front

Empire of the Sun is a title that I've resisted buying due to low prospects of finding an opponent. I'm reasonably confident of finding a copy locally, and my b-day is coming up, so if anyone is serious about wanting to play I'd be more than happy to oblige.

Ubercat:

For the People ... this is the war game that I know best with 50+ games under my belt. I don't consider myself a master level player, but I did manage 5th place in the tournament at WBC 2014. Since there were about 28 participants, I'm proud! Willing to teach.

Unconditional Surrender: Europe ... beginner competency. Just started a F2F game a few days ago. Will continue later this week or the following.

Empire of the Sun ... still learning. My regular Vassal opponent, a friend from The Game Box is tutoring me.

ASL ... I own ASLSK 1 & 3, plus Decision at Elst, along with The rules binder and Beyond Valor. I've gone over the infantry basics a few times but still need to do the system justice. I'd love for an experienced player to take me under wing.

A Victory Denied ... just bought the game since AGC in Operation Barbarossa is of great interest to me. Looks good and excited to play it at some point.

Clash of Monarchs ... another great looking game I own that I want to learn some day.

I'm pretty eager to try Vassal (only tried it once -- War at Sea with Barthheart?)  I'm particularly interested in games that could be done as PBEM rather than real time. It's a shame Decision Games won't allow VASSAL modules for the classic SPI games

Hey, Barth, in all the time you've saved not clipping counters, did you ever do a module for LnLT Heroes of the Blitzkrieg? I just went to play a game using the World Championship module and woe, none of the Blitzkrieg maps! Would I be correct in assuming this is waiting on the re-release?

Yeah... I dragged my feet a bit then they started the re-releases. So it's waiting for the new module.
All the games in the series will now have their own module... although I'm building them in such a way that they could be combined later on.

GJK:

My short list - these games I can play NOW and would enjoy teaching.  I can arrange a live game on the weekends, otherwise Pbem works best for me:

   •ASL or ASLSK
   •Up Front
•Civil War Brigade Series (CWBS)/LoB (None But Heroes)
   •Napoleonic Brigade Series (NBS)
   •Twilight Struggle
•Blood Bowl (ask me for the module)
[/size]   •James Bond Assault Game

My long list (I need to learn these or are rusty with them and would prefer an experienced player to teach):

   •Third Reich/Advanced Third Reich
   •John Prados Third Reich
   •The Supreme Commander
   •US Civil War (GMT Games)
   •Civil War (Victory Games)
   •For the People
   •Next War Taiwan
•Breaking the Chains (on order now)

PM if interested in any of the above.
