For those who are wondering what the topic of that pdf is, that Mirth linked to: it's about wargaming the defense of the Balkans under current conditions.

It does not end well for the West. (Spoiler.)

It is a good read, and reflects (unclassified) briefings we've gotten on the high level US Army thinking about potential conflict in the Baltics.

No way NATO is going to threaten nukes over the Baltics. As the RAND piece noted, we're not going to trade New York for Riga.
