So, based on my experience with the Beta (and a pile of Steam credit which covered half the purchase price), I pre-ordered and am waiting for game unlock. Anyone else diving in to this right away?

Yep. I thoroughly enjoyed the Beta (much to my surprise)

It's unlocked now I believe. It's currently downloading some additional stuff to the pre-load

Finished downloading overnight. Just created my character. Got up early to check on the game. Quitting now to go back and get some more sleep. Can't wait to get up later and explore NYC!

I picked it up yesterday but I've been unable to play it.

The Steam reviews are horrible! Lots of folks saying the gameplay is boring and repetitive, terrible AI, and lots of connection issues.

Anyone here have any issues with it?

I don't know that I'd deny there's repetitiveness there.  Not enough to stop me buying. I found there was enough variety in the BETA to make me want to get this.

I haven't encountered any connection issues - and I've been in and out several times today.

This is the same crap people belly ached about with the beta. Personally, I enjoyed the beta.

I mean really...its a HUGE game and people are deadpanning it after playing for what? 25 minutes? I swear, I hate the Steam forums.

3 hours in and I've just taken back the Base of Operations. I may be too easily distracted by side missions... ;D

Pretty much my experience...side tracked by side missions. It was ages before I went and made my base.

I stumbled into a level 4-5 zone when I was 2 - died quite quickly.
