The type of galaxy map they have is my favorite one. From what i've seen, they are also fairly close to MOO1 which is my favorite game. I've been following the game for a while and participated in the kickstarter....so yeah...there's a little bit story here. In general, this is one of game type i like most.

Yeah, this is definitely good news.  Of all the indie space 4x titles due to come out this year (which is quite a few), Lord of Rigel is probably the one I'm most interested in.

I concur.  Even setting aside the almost-absurd number of indie titles in development (not that I'm complaining! :D ), we have the "Big Three" -- Endless Space 2, Master of Orion, and Stellaris -- all due out in 2016.  I think those three games alone will cause the genre to have a standout year.

This will be out on Linux and so, presumably, Mac as well, for those interested.

Did you manage to successfully run the installer for the demo? I tried it for Windows and it wouldn't work, saying contact the developer.

I didn't realise there was a demo - I'll give it a try this evening.
