Is anyone else puzzled by Pdox's half-hearted 'rollout' of Hearts of Iron IV?

June 6, eh?  Very clever, Paradox.

Hope it's not later than that....  Not, you know, like December 7 or something...

Based on prior versions of HOI?  Not sure Paradox gets the significance of December 7.

Yeah, they made a little skit about the release date and the developer guy said early summer and the boss guy said, so we'll say D-day then.  So maybe not exactly June 6.
Which June 6 are they talking about? This year, next year?
The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own. Aldous Huxley

Too true that USA player could wait around for ages and never get attacked by Japan AI.

*Really* hoping they improve the Pacific War in HOI4....

Maybe the AI is improved and is smart enough to NOT attack the US.... just sayin....

Reminds me of the end of the movie Wargames --  "The only winning move is... not to play."

OMG! Paradox has figured out how to recreate WOPR for the HOI4 AI!

Also my winning strategy for Tsarist Russia at the door of WW1 in the Darkest Hour AAR / Grand Campaign HOI2 supermod. Don't start no World War, there won't be no World War. (Or not enough for me to even clearly see and so not to care about.)

Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.

Interesting video GR...I am also liking what I see so far.  Maybe I missed it but did they say anything about automating trade like you can do in HOI3....??

Ugh, should not have watched that video... I know June 6 is only 2 months away, but man do I want to play this game NOW  !!

It's an indication of how excited I am for HOI4 that Stellaris is going to be my 'just tide me over' game til it launches...

(Actually really looking forward to Stellaris as well.... it looks like it's going to be fantastic...)

It's the other way around for me.  I was really looking forward to HoI4 especially since the previous entries in the series aren't available on Linux.  But now it's going to be eclipsed by Stellaris.

I guess I'll buy the first game+dlc packs they release.

Just a small note which won't be very surprising, but amazon.de is showing HoI4 at the same price (40 EUR) as Stellaris, strongly suggesting it will be the same price as Stellaris everywhere else too.
