Came across this song again in an Alternative 80's mix on YouTube.  Lots of stuff just like it that used to populate MtV in the early-mid 80's.  I remember running home from school just to see what videos were going to be on.  Aaaaah, the halcyon days.

Anyways, it's probably going to be Civ with some amalgamation of the usual suspects (if I can pry some of them off Stellaris *grumble grumble*).  There isn't paper and pencil D&D until next week so, that'll probably be about it.

Good tune. I remember The Smithereens - don't know if it's the same band I'm thinking of though because I don't remember that particular song...some investigation required me thinks.

Stellaris has actually stolen ALL my gaming time currently.

I do have a lot of rugby to watch this weekend, which means drinking which means little gaming - but I expect it will be Stellaris

I haven't pulled the plug yet on Jomni's game - but I surely plan to do so...it just doesn't seem right as I know it will sit there for a while as I pump away at my universe.

I'll be continuing the two Stellaris MP games going. Been thinking of doing some modding for it. Want to add a few more government types for flavor and role play and expand on the racial traits.

In my Stellaris downtime, Elite will probably be my go to. I'm very slowly working my way around the galaxy. So far I've made it about 20 or so jumps from civilized space, heading in the general direction of the Witch Head nebula.

Fallout 4 just had a major DLC release so I might pick that up. Haven't played at all since I finished my first play through. Since then there's been a few patches (including a survival overhaul), DLC, and official mod tool released.

Hoping my copy of Falling Sky comes in...
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

Working night shifts.  I have 12 hours of mostly solitary work so I often listen to audio books as I wander around the plant at night.  I hate to admit it but I was running out of things to buy from my monthly Audible subscription so I picked up the Hard Magic trilogy of novels by Larry Correia and they're freaking AWESOME!  They're narrated by Balki freaking Bartokamous (Bronson Pinchot) and, hard as it might be to believe, he does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life.  The novels take place in an alternate reality 1930s where magic is a reality, Germany was destroyed by Tesla weapons during WWI, and the Japanese Imperium is threatening the world.

Anyway, apart from listening to Balki spin a yarn, I'll probably get a bit more Stellaris in.   I've been having a lot of fun with my current game but I'm now sandwiched between two stagnant ascendancies (vastly superior civilizations that have stopped developing for whatever reason) and I can't take either of them on.  As I'm using hyperspace lanes, I'm kind of trapped right now.  I guess I'll just keep building up and terraforming all available planets until I'm strong enough to try and take one of them on.

I've been toying with Starsector and I think there's a lot of cool stuff in the game but I'm really, really bad at playing it.  I just don't have the reflexes to manage everything on screen during a battle if I have to try to control anything larger than my ship plus one or two others.

Got a couple of board games scheduled for mid-week.  Star Wars: Rebellion on Wednesday and Legendary Encounters: Aliens and Wings of Glory WWII on Thursday.

Hard Magic sounds like an interesting book....will check it out.

I have too many games i want to play, not enough time and my wife watching movies on my gaming desktop  :tickedoff:....

- Master of Orion CtS: playing a campaign with Psilons. I play on normal but it seems i am far behind in tech, economy etc. I've grown my Empire to about 13 planets. I will try to aim for the diplomatic victory. Maybe i'll make a break after that campaign (EA4 is on it's way).

- Grand Ages: Rome. Haven't touched it for at least two weeks and really need to work on it.

- Sengoku Jidai! Played just one battle (tutorial) and already love it. :smitten:

- Oriental Empires testing.

I think i'll keep Stellaris on the waiting list a little more  until i have enough time to dive in.

Ah, The Smithereens. A post GJK made just the other day reminded me of them and someone else...
Anyway, more Stellaris for me. And Sengoku Jidai. I think I'm also due for some more Polaris Sector and/or Master of Orion CtS.

Well, I had to look it up as well. I see people are starting to refer to it that way so I thought I would to.  :D

Yeah...MOO4 would be easier...or New MOO.  ;)

I'm seriously thinking of giving Silent Hunter 4 another try.  I really haven't spent much time with that game, and I'm in a submariney mood.

I'm sure I'll play some FPS games- ARMA 3 or Rising Storm or something.

I'll likely round things out with Scourge of War: Gettysburg and Madden 25 on the Xbox.

Like a number of others, Stellaris has stolen me away from pretty much anything else.

Yeah, but I've got a really big TV, like 55" or something, and it's kind of fun to crash on the couch with my controller and crank the volume way up- it's like watching a real game!
