well its a good guess, but a wrong one!

in the year 2005 on the island 8J0 about 1,000 miles  off the asian coast, a fully automated manufacturing faciltiy was built

its purpose to make the most advanced machines known to man, the computer Kyron 5 controlled every aspect of its world

for twenty years everything seemed to run smoothly,  a handful of technicians and their families lived on the island as custodians BUT

the cruel fact was that HUMAN BEINGS WERE UNNECESSARY!

ON JULY 4TH 2025 KYRON 5 DECLARED WAR ON THE WORLD

the allies dispatched a "******" battalion to 8JO, the great robot war began........

it is the 373rd day of the battle ......on level 389.....kyron 5's last line of defense, AEROBOT......THIS IS WHERE OUR MOVIE BEGINS!

Hey guys, I will reveal this title tomorrow, and everyone should flock to netflix to get this really really superb sci-fi movie. Easily one of the best hi tech movies of the genre!

from 1989, when you do the netflix deal, dont pay any attention to their inaccurate synopsis because some idiot that obviously had never watched the movie wrote it!!!!!


this movie holds up really well against most the crap you see today, I doubt that the netflix version is the theatrical release but the original in half english half japanese leaves you with a subtley different take and makes you think way harder about whats going on since you only get half the story....

Now that I inadvertently learned the name of the flick I have to ask: I've not seen it yet- was it any good? Should I bother with it?

It's a solid 6 out of 10.  Some people felt that it was absolute trash.  But it's not stinky trash.  Go in with low expectations and you will not be disappointed.

Godzilla, last remake.

It was ok.

As a fan of Toho Studios and everything Gojira I thought the American version of Godzilla was ok.  Nothing compares to the real deal though IMO.
