Hello,

Anyone interested in World War One? If you own John Tillers Campaign Series, there is a mod, well actually it's own game covering this.

Country's included are-

00 Allied Russian Empire
01 Axis German Empire
03 Axis Austro-Hungarian Empire
04 Axis Ottoman Empire (Turkey)
05 Axis Ukrainia
06 Axis Kingdom of Bulgaria
07 Allied Poland
08 Allied French Third Republic
09 Allied British Empire
10 Allied USA
11 Allied Portugal
12 Allied Kingdom of Belgium
13 Allied Kingdom of Serbia
14 Allied Empire of Japan
15 Allied Kingdom of Greece
16 Axis Bolsheviks
17 Allied Kingdom of Romania
18 Allied Kingdom of Italy
19 Allied Arab Revolt
20 Allied Kingdom of Montenegro

To install, unzip this download into your Matrix Games\John Tillers Campaign Series folder, it will make a new folder called WW1 v1.1. To play, find World War One.exe!

Ive posted all the playable scenario's at the Blitz.org, here-http://www.theblitz.org/scenarios/world-war-one-mod/b-15.htm?action=scenarios&game=185. Some that were included with the download were incomplete, I didn't find this out until entering the 27 scenario's into the database, ny apologies! There are also 3 Dynamic Campaign Games to choose from as well as a Battle Generator for some Random situations. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask at impalass(at)ptd(dot)net.

Thanks Warhorse. Is it just OOB's or are there any scenarios/campaigns to go with it?

EVERYTHING!! :D It is actually a whole game, you must already have the campaign series, but this game is it's own deal. It comes with 27 scenario's, and has 3 campaigns with it. The Battle Generator works as well for a little random fun sometimes. There are also period sounds, terrain, unit graphics 2d and 3d, some guns fire gas, and there are a couple scenario's with tanks in them! The UI is from the pre version 2.02 unfortunately, but don't let that stop you, this has become one of my favorite games now!! I couldn't update the engine like I did with my Korean War game, since I'm not a programmer, and there is too much behind the scenes to just convert to the West Front engine, but it rocks! If you stop in at the Blitz forum, and look for the WW1 mod in the top section, there are a good many pics I posted, also in the regular section under the Mod!! Shows some scenes from the Battle of Lyck I'm playing, in East Prussia against the Imperial Russian forces!

Interesting. Must have been a lot of work.

I tried to install it but I have the Matrix version. The installation directions do not match my default installation directories. I installed trying to match as closely as I could but it doesn't work right.
Also, I can't tell which version I have. I assume it's 1.05.

[EDIT] Nevermind, I was overthinking this. You just unzip the file into you Campaign Series folder and it works! Looks great, can't wait to try it!  O0

Interesting. Must have been a lot of work.

Very much, I actually only joined the original author, Paul Adaway in 2005 for a few years I helped with it, then he disappeared and work fizzled out on it, there were about 10 guys working on it at one point! I couldn't stand seeing it sit, so over the years I kept working on it, and tried to get a hold of Paul, to see if he would mind if I released it after redoing a lot of the content. He got in touch with me early this week and gave me a green light with his blessings! Probably after a few years, I could't believe it, so set to work getting it out forthwith!! If you visit the Blitz wargaming club, there is a mods section at the top of the forums for the Campaign Series, there are credits and screenshots, also in the main forum for CS there you will find screenshots under WW1 Mod. I made a Korean War mod as well, but this one is just about taking place as my favorite, always found it fascinating after playing 1914 as a kid!

AWESOME! I missed a couple things when getting a download together from my main install I had in all my excitement to finally get it out, one of those was the old installation instructions in the game folder....

Warhorse, there are definitely several guys here who will want to play this (myself included); but if you can modify your initial post's title to clarify what game engine it's for, that'll be helpful.  O0

(I mean obviously people will be able to tell when they read your post, but this way people will know already if they have the game before clicking.)
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

I've just downloaded and installed it. A very big thank you for putting it out to the community. O0

Out of curiosity, can you tell us more about your Korean War mod?

Hi Boggit! Good deal, I hope you like it! There are a couple scenario's that made it through in the download, that shouldn't have, a random or two, and some by the programmer that were never completed.

The Korean War Mod I made originally was based on Rising Sun, took me and a group of guys about 7 years to complete! It has all the country's involved in the conflict included, there are many scenario's for that mod as well. I just last year or so, updated it again to use RS 2.02 engine, instead of another we were using for awhile, UI was the old one like the WW1 mod still uses. The only thing now is the ambient background and battle sounds don't work as a result. The movement and combat sounds all work, just not the ones you can switch on/off in options. A lot of folks get tired of them and don't listen to them anyhow!

Tell ya what, I'll post links to that one here as well, I thought I had awhile back, but must not have gotten around to it?!

Thank you! I have a few files that are fixed, the 09 Corps springs an error, fixed, New Campaign screen was old WF type, fixed, and a 3d terrain file fixed as well. Will try to post here soon with a zip of these!

Thanks for trying it out, I think you'll like it!
