............indeed it does - about 4500 Aftasids return from the Crusades and land just South of my armies - we eventually clash as the warscore is about to reach 100%, and then its finally done by killing the Aftasid ruler himself - always good for ending a battle that is!

undercovergeek

Holy shit ive taken a lot of land - i need to hand out some of these lands - my demesne count has gone through the roof

undercovergeek

New Leon...... a succesful Holy War for Castille will bridge the gap - next goal

Martok

Nice!  Those new lands look good on you.  8)

"Like we need an excuse to drink to anything..." - Banzai_Cat
"I like to think of it not as an excuse but more like Pavlovian Response." - Sir Slash

"At our ages, they all look like jailbait." - mirth

"If we had lines here that would have crossed all of them. For the 1,077,986th time." - Gusington

"Government is so expensive that it should at least be entertaining." - airboy

"As long as there's bacon, everything will be all right." - Toonces

I hope you have some trust people to give titles out too.  Otherwise you might have some more people trying to stab you in the back.
"No wants, no needs, we weren't meant for that, none of us.  Man stagnates if he has no ambition, no desire to be more than he is."

ive gone through the council and the court and awarded them to those with the highest loyalty - i figured that was pretty realistic, i cant imagine handing out lands to an enemy or someone who was plotting your downfall. The new landowners only increase their favourability of you by 20 so its not that good for turning round a potential plotter.

Those in the court with the highly skilled wives will have to stay as once they leave the court they cant be used as tutors - or certainly cant be made to be tutors - as a courtier you get no choice, as the wife of a count 500 miles away you can say no!

more to come this weekend - crazy work week has interrupted this week

In a final twist of punishment for his mothers rebellion nearly 30 years ago i award a Bishopric to Ordono - in doing so he cant marry and his entire line is shut down - the Alfonsez of Castille will never bother me again.

undercovergeek

It seems ive been too liberal with my bishop making and the Pope wants a bit more control - its no skin off my nose really, i choose the option that means only the Pope can make Bishops In Leon - ill take all the positive marks that come with this

undercovergeek

Ahh, that didnt last long - my brother wants in on the action. He is more learned, and it brings him back in the court where i can keep an eye on the backstabbing, plotting b******

undercovergeek

Wow, this is my brothers wife plotting to kill my son. From a gaming point of view it totally makes sense to try that, it puts her husband on the throne if i get it on the battlefield - a wry nod to the AI - shes going to die in the now famous Oubliette of Leon.....................

undercovergeek

.............Wankers!!! How hard could it have been? The plot still lives, and i take to the Spymasters quarters to club him for being an idiot

undercovergeek

...........oh, that saves me a job - he was killed by the Countess Timbor. Solves the 'new' spy master problem, which weirdly enough turns out to be the moustachioed Ordono - still adorned in the bishops robes of his previous role - im not going to ask what thats all about.

Gluttonous and drunk, but still a demon between the sheets! This child will also inherit the Mrs' claim to the Duchy of Provence too - i plan this to get me a foot hold in southern France and Northern Italy - expand the lands and stuff...........................

undercovergeek

...............or not! Get us, the popular Jimenas - this is the wife's auntie clearly upset about the line of succession in Provence. Clang!!!!! Thats the Dungeon door love...... note the successful capture of a troublemaker - digging the new spymaster

undercovergeek

His Royal Geekiness goes crazy and opts for some hedonsim for a few months - im liking the fertility boost, his lardiness could do with some more action between the sheets to get me another son or two
