Out of town this weekend, so its good, ol' lappy to the rescue!  And that means my continuing drive on my tier 8 vehicles in World of Tanks is on hold and getting to the next captaincy level in World of Warships is a no-go.

Eh.  Got like a thousand unread emails in my Yahoo account, so maybe I can clear some of those out - for now - as I sip on gin and tonic and watch the golf channel.

I am playing RISK.  There.  I said it. I'm not ashamed.  The box art for the new edition has been summoning me and I love both the secret mission idea and the two-player neutral option.

Ordered the DC Cerberus game for my son, but it probably won't get here until later next week.

Wrapping up "Napoleon's Last Battles" campaign against my wife and son in order to clear space for "Jena 20".

Playing a fair amount of "Fallout 4" although I've clearly out-levelled it at the moment.  Mowing down super mutants like fresh hay.

Beginning preparations for my birthday weekend at the end of the month (50th) in which I sincerely hope to play a D-Day landings three-mapper, Epic Battlelore Agincourt, and Epic C&C Ancients Gaugamela.  Oh, and a Cape Ortegal "Sails of Glory" game to make up for the fact that C&C: Epic Napoleonics didn't make it out in time..

And preparing for the Jena story-sequence kriegsspiel.  I would be remiss if I did not observe that somewhere, on a podcast yet to be played, 'dog suggested he might want to play.  Might.

  Well, I got tired of simulating financial stuff.  I took a break and looked at models of carbon sequestration -- which got me to wondering about the Carboniferous -- why all that carbon stored away and what did that cause?  Problems for plants probably, which the giant clubmosses (speculatively) solved by building up carbon in giant vacuoles called aerenchyma.  Cuz if there is too much oxygen vs carbon you get reverse photosyntesis with the standard C3 plant metabolic cycle. see:

RISK was it for me back in the day.  The kids still try to beat me at it on holidays.  And I believe I posted in your kriegspiel thread that I was in if you end up with an odd number.
