A lot means you will end up acquiring a lot of games and no time to actually play them.
Amen to this and I have well over 200 games on steam and that doesn't even include all the games outside of steam, tillers entire catalogue for example. To be honest this is something i have been thinking about a lot lately. Given work and a young son and a wife I have left my computer several times recently questioning the simple viability of this type of gaming as a hobby. In a week, even including weekends I can get through say a few turns of tillers bulge game for example. At that rate it would take me a year to get halfway through the battle and that's if I only concentrate on that one game.

It's another reason why I don't do early access but a real issue with the nature of my chosen hobby which leads me to start a lot of things but never much more than that as am always conscious of the limited time to get any significant way into anything I own.

Have seriously considered just giving this up and finding something different to do
"you are the rule maker, the dictator, the mini- Stalin, Mao, Hitler, the emperor, generalissimo, the MAN. You may talk the talk and appear to be quite easy going to foster popularity, but to the MAN I say F*CK YOU." And Steve G is F******g rude ? Just another day on the BF forum ... one demented idiots reaction to BF disagreeing about the thickness of the armour on a Tiger II turret mantlet.

That has certainly been my experience. I have purchased more than enough games to last me the rest of my lifetime and I continue to buy more.

Seeing the insanity of it, perhaps I should join On-Line Gamers Anonymous. :-\
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Come on now, your telling me we can actually play these things we buy on Steam. I thought it was just to add those nice colourful icon thingys on my Steam page and maybe read some of the very informative forum posts. Now you are telling me I can actually play the games, where on earth am I going to get the time to do that with all the stuff I've now collected in my Steam library  :)

One good thing about buying digital downloads of games is that they don't take up any room in your home. I filled an outbuilding with retail boxed PC games and when I ran out of space, I filled a chest of drawers and several shelves with them. As a result, I buy mostly digital downloads now. I do miss the nice box art though.
