Congrats to the Bison as National Mammal. They beat-out my choice, the Duck-Billed Platypus, by a nose. Of course the Platypus is still in the running for everything else because nobody knows what the hell they really are anyway. To celebrate, I'm going down to Wal-Mart and buy some Bison-Steaks to fire-up on the BBQ this weekend.  <:-)

Are you serious about that phobia, Bison?

Sorta related: Friday night I was grilling burgers out on our deck, which faces the nature preserve and 1000s of acres of hilly woods. The smell brought out the coyotes but it was dark and I couldn't see them...I could only hear them howling for the food.

Scared the crap out my kids :)
