Tyranny, new RPG from the makers of Pillars of Eternity.

My poos aside, did anyone purchase Tranny yet? I am deciding between getting this and Dishonored 2.

I was thinking about it but then I remembered I haven't even finished Pillars of Eternity, nor a ton of other RPGs ...not to mention Obsidian's track record of buggy releases I think I'll let this one bake a bit--but it is very hard to resist.

^I'm in the same exact boat. I have 23 hours invested into Pillars of Eternity and have not played any of White March I or II yet.

Also, there are a lot of reports of horrible optimization of Dishonored 2, so not buying that right now either.

Looks like I will be an adult (at least this weekend) and play...only what I have purchased already!!

Not yet. I've spent more money in the past two weeks than a family of 5 on their summer vacation. The latest was $160 worth of boardgames monday.

There's a review up at PC Gamer-- 75 out of 100. Some good, some bad- says combat is somewhat boring. Maybe when it's on sale I'll take another look.  http://www.pcgamer.com/tyranny-review/

Hmmm. Not sure how realtime pauseable combat can be boring. It's RPG group combat with magic and swords....pretty standard stuff compared to Baldurs Gate, Ice Wind Dale, etc

It just like Pillars of eternity and I never heard anyone complain about that combat. Either way I'm with the others; I haven't finished Pillars or Divinity so no point.

The review says the enemies are kind of repetitive. In POE they are a little too meaning regardless of what kind they are, they pretty much do the same thing, just come straight at you. In most cases. I love POE as well. I just started part 2 of The White March.

From what I'm reading the reason combat is boring ---- say compared to Pillars - is due to them reducing the party to 4 and simplifying things--- thus there's a lot less combat choices and it grows repetative---so much so many are saying it feels more like  ARPG combat than RPG combat of Pillars or BG. I suppose that's to be expected...still..combat was never the strong suit in any of these games from the get go-- it's the story and writing and the world it's taking place in. So this isn't that off putting to me. It probably feels like Dragon Age which wouldn't be all bad--sometimes you just don't feel like working at combat.
