Maybe the RN can just fire I.O.U.'s at an enemy. You know, "Come back in 2020 for your Anti-Ship Missile experience". Or they could hoist very large Prince Charles and Camilla flags-- that should keep any enemy more than outside of missile range.     :nerd: The Administrator wishes to sincerely apologize if any Brits were insulted it the making of this post.

This bit I find laughable

It would also be rather unusual for the Royal Navy to be put in a situation where it needs anti-ship missiles, or long-range anti-surface missiles—and even more unusual to be in such a situation and not have the US Navy around to help out.

Hows that going to be "Unusual" - do we just run away now ? or not pick a fight if need be ... as for the second part ? I would think post Trump - thats more likely than its ever been ...

Typical of this country - will fund £369 million pounds for Buckingham palace to be "re decorated" but we will quite happily return our navy to WWII standard.

IIRC, Belgrano is the only recorded wartime kill by a nuclear-powered sub.
