Did you join up?  Much as I enjoy their server and the company I could never bring myself to get into the whole playing soldiers bit.  If you get the chance do join in on the "pub scrims", though.

No.  Just joined another group around a month ago and still in "trainee," rating so it would be a jerk move to leave at this point.  At least I've got options, eh?  Not bothered by the rank / soldier thing so much - looking at their roster, they seem to to have a good amount of numbers so I guess its working for them.  Will take up their offer to join up in their pub nights some as my group http://www.oldbloodandguts.com/ doesn't do RO2 as much.

I'm going to play some minecraft on survival mode.  I'm not sure how pathetic I am that this is the only video game that holds my attention lately.
My wife plays it, so I dare not describe that as pathetic ... actually it looks a pretty good game - my son plays it too.

If you get Fortresscraft: Evolved, you can claim to be playing Minecraft (it's an ascended mod), while complimenting yourself on this game having both a darker mood and some actual systems engineering to mess with.

Or you could get 7 Days to Die and pretend it's a super-gussy Minecraft mod.  >:D

It's 3 o'clock in the morning.  I have had a full day of Warlock in the morning and just finished playing another couple hours more.  In between, DM'd the bi-monthly p&p D&D game.  Spent the time watching goblins run away from an owlbear only to watch them come running back in less than five minutes chased by TWO owlbears!  Much XP was gained by all  O0

How long are your sessions? That sounds like a 15 minute encounter, what kinda DM are you ;).

Sounds like a fun day man. I spent my morning freezing my ass off working outside and running errands
Insert witty comment here.

I played some mechwarriors online yesterday with some buddies other than that I'm only playing path of exiles atm.
I did buy dc:b with my coupon from matrix the other day so I should look into that (got the manual in the phone with me at work right now).

That one lasted about four hours.  Totally sounds like a long time....and it is.  But there are six players and not one of them knows how to make up their mind without talking to everyone else in the group for, like, fifteen minutes.  And honestly, we use a (homemade) play mat and figurines and I think it really slows things down.  But the visual representation of what we are doing seems to help them.  Each of my players has never played p&p D&D, so any RPG concept I have to explain gets equated by them with Zelda and its ilk.  They called last night's encounter a "boss fight."  Accurate, but not the way we played when we were kids.  Plus, I'm a n00b DM and my storytelling is weak.  The play mat allows me some license and helps keep things focused.  Everyone went home thinking they had a great time and that's what we play for :)

Another one of those weekends where I end up playing something I never had any intention to play. Most time spent with Dawn of War Soul Storm modded with Ultimate Apocalypse and FoK. Still great fun.

Its actually a superb design that attracts all ages and interests. I have played it a lot too.

MD - that does sound like a long session until I realized how long some of my poker nights have gone. 6 hours was often the norm, especially since I was often top 3. When I get eliminated early usually I'll just leave.

Still jealous on the p&p D&D game. Been since middle school since I've had that. LGS are not really a thing here.

Insert witty comment here.

Sir Slash

I managed some quality time with Pillars of Eternity: The White March where Sir Slash hit the Level Cap. You can still advance and get new Skills and Buffs but 15 is as high as you can go.  :'(  Here's Sir Slash striking his best 'Hero Pose' that drives all the Serving Wenches crazy for him.

We actually hold the game at my house.  It's all my daughter's fault.  She volunteered me to DM for some of her friends.  I asked some of my friends and we usually have a group of six.  Occasionally, we'll have more.  It is a good time though.
