Bad ass, Slash. 15 is as high as you can go eh? Didn't know that either. Seems low.

Sir Slash

It takes a while to get there but you're right it does seem a little arbitrary to stop at Level 15 though as I noted, you continue to hit Level-Ups and get buffs and new skills each time. Just the number never changes. Also even at the Level Cap, there's still enemies that Bitch-Slap me around pretty easily. Two Dragons in particular and those damned mercs at Craghold.

I Polaris sectored - took a while to get used to the layout again but I think I'm good - learnt a few things watching a let's play - I have 6 earth likes with 2 more found and 3 oceanics - I have bumped into the Logan's who are behaving so far, only an hour again but enjoying it

Polaris Sector is a great 4X space game, but so is Stellaris. I have campaigns going in both. They are different enough to enjoy them both at the same time, each does things better than the other. Polaris' ship building and fleet combat is far superior to Stellaris, but Stellaris' galaxy seems more alive, with many ongoing discoveries of anomalies needing research, often leading to interesting stories of long lost civilizations and such.  I feel like I'm in the golden age of 4X space games.

I played pretty much nothing but Stellaris and more of my Northumbrian campaign MTW/VI this past weekend.  So the usual.  ::)

Either that, or the "Silver Age".

I know a lot of fans of the genre disagree on this point, due to the mediocre/poor 4x titles that have been released his decade so far.  However, the sheer number and variety of 4x games that have come out in the last several years virtually guarantee there's something for everyone.  :)
