Blurst year ever.

Overall excellent year for my family.  I got out of my administrative job.  All of my business interests went very well.  I'm learning how to cook (i.e. grill) pretty well. My wife's nephew who has been with us for 1.5 years will either complete the job training program in the next 90 days (a win) or will be out of the house and on his own (also a win at least for me).

Lots of celebs died, but the idols of my youth are all hitting 50 - 80.  Demographics takes its toll.  If you abuse your body you tend to check out in your 50s just from accumulated abuse and damage.  Many of the celebs who died this year had a history of serious drug and alcohol abuse.  You poison your body for long enough and you don't make it.

I've seen several people say "fuck you" to 2016 (I happen to agree), but then say they hope 2017 is better.

I don't see how, as it'll mean one year closer to the big sleep for everyone still living on the planet, but that's awfully pessimistic of me I suppose. Go figure.
