About 3/4" here and it looks like it's about to stop. I don't mind. If it's going to snow a lot here I want it to start on a Monday.  ;)

We definitely made high end of the forecast already. May even get to 10 inches by the time it stops. Getting some serious gusts too. From experience that means the biggest drifts will be over the path to the front door and also the entire driveway.

Other than shoveling yesterday's snow off the driveway and then salting the area and steps, I haven't been outside all day.  Reports are we got about 8" and the wind was pretty gusty.  I stayed snuggled under the covers sipping coffee and reading.

I might try to get a surf in tomorrow if the roads aren't horrible.  I dunno...gonna have to do a gut check in the morning and see if the cost/benefit is there.  It's going to be pretty cold.  But tomorrow is about the only window I have to go until next weekend.

I ran about 6 miles before it started snowing. Getting ready to walk to get a  cheeseburger with my my junior high school friends in a minute.

All we got here is rain , rain , drizzle....and more rain !! Got soaked to the skin yesterday on a walk , going for a jog later ...in yet more rain ! Only two miles though , nothing like Gus with his epic 6 mile run  :notworthy: stay safe grogs in all that snow  :) wish we had some snow ...sigh .

It's stopped snowing here, but the roads are still crap and school will get canceled tomorrow.

It's so cold they can't put any chemicals on the road to help break up the ice b/c the temperature is below the freezing point of the freakin' chemical brine mix


In other news, it'll be 70°F on Friday.

It was 11F here this morning in my Washington DC suburb: great weather for a run.  I was at the trailhead this morning just as the sun was coming up.  We got maybe one inch of snow yesterday, which left a nice surface to run on.  The snowy woods were beautiful in the early morning light.  After my run I visited Dunkin Donuts for some calories and coffee.

Along with a nap and some solo ASL this afternoon, just about a perfect day.   :)

A couple of scary moments on the roads (near misses, no damage, no one hurt, all is well) and I am back home. My friends said 'of all days to bail and you choose NOT to today.' A lot more snow than expected.

More snow Tuesday. Then a warm up to 45 F and then ice over the next weekend. No more running outside for a while...to the treadmill :(
