RIP Bob Morton...and a bunch of other roles.

I mostly knew him as playing weaselly executives but I'm sure he had some other roles that showcased his talents. Guy managed to stay in the business near 40 years and mostly with fairly well respectable movie and TV credits...

Probably best know for being in the series Crossing Jordan for 6 or 7 seasons.  Did a lot of smaller roles.  One of those that seemed to make the show/movie a little better.

His mother was Rosemary Clooney.  Yes, that makes him a cousin of George Clooney.

I thought he was a great actor, despite getting secondary roles all the time (and usually asshole ones).


There was one old movie, in which he was actually the main character, that stands out as an unusual one in my mind.   I thought was enjoyable at the time, even though it was a bit of a budget film that went under the radar.  One of those flicks you only notice on a cable movie channel late at night and decide to give a try. 

Think it was about him getting accidentally mixed up with some criminal nightmare situation south of the border.  Probably only memorable due to him being the main character for once.  From the 90s iirc. The Harvest??

Updated to be more relevant.  First Hispanic actor to win an Academy award, for that role. "I have been robbed! -- there is no hundred here!" {assassins get ocrap look, start planning retreat} Hard to improve the original, but he did it.

Didn't know Rosemary Clooney was Miguel's mother, though!
