I appreciated that they subtly lampshaded in the film how silly it was to have such a simple weakness: turns out of course the exhaust port wouldn't normally be a weakness, the engineer had carefully designed that particular one to be.

Obi Wan said he's more machine than man now so maybe he is 'battery operated' capable. Of course maybe Obi Wan was jealous because of the whole Jedi-celibacy thing. I've seen guys at bars uglier than Vader get picked-up. Usually they're wearing gold not black though.
