All the videos I've seen so far are a complete turn off for me.  Sure, it sounds great when you say you can move around your flagship, hop onto a dropship and join in on invasions of colonies in ground combat...but when you actually see how its implemented in the gameplay videos, it looks so...meh...

I understand its an indie title and I wish them lots of success.  But I think it needs a bit more work in terms of diversity before I take the plunge.

I hadn't noticed before, but there's a demo available for this now on Desura.

Well damn, I had a quick go at the demo and was pleasantly surprised!  The ground battle I took part in was cool and definitely conveyed what the developer is going for - the sense that you're just one lowly soldier in an army, instead of the centre of the universe that so many other games stoop to.  Gonna play a bit more now, but my wallet has started calling to me already...

going to necro another thread!! now on sale for 10 bucks at GG. anyone have any further thoughts they would like to add? has the game been supported since it was released? thanks.
