Well, it looks like you can give move and attack orders while paused.  Sometimes.  ;)

I can't even play it. AVG insists that the LOP.exe is malware and sends it to the quarantine vault.

Farmer, can't you add it to AVG's exceptions list?  Alternatively, a virus scanner that misbehaves isn't worth having; may I suggest switching to Microsoft's Security Essentials or whatever it's called?

I did add an exception for LOP but then Steam itself would not run and considering the numerous problems the game is reported to have, I thought I would sit on the sidelines for a few weeks and see if the developer cleaned the program up.

Man...when Steam and a game don't play nice it's ugly. Sorry to hear that.

Thanks for the impressions so far guys.  Sounds like I'll probably want to wait a bit before purchasing, but I am still very much intending to pick it up before too long. 

Hmmm...may have to pull the trigger. Jarhead, is the campaign really linear or is there some freedom?

From what Novacore has said, I get the impression it's rather linear.  Which makes a certain amount of sense, since it's mission/episode-based. 

On the other hand, at least in LoP, you'll bring your existing fleet and technology with you from the previous episode.  None of that GalCiv2 nonsense where you had to start from scratch at the beginning of every mission!

I honestly dont understand why its so frikin hard at this point in time to come up with something thats at least comparable with Homeworld.  the games a decade old and still wiping the floor with bitches.

I gave my son Paul, my computer game collection. 5 large moving boxes worth. He's now moving into mature residents at the University of Alberta to get his MA in Film studies. (he can get away with this because his fiance' is a nurse.)  I will now re inherit my collection.
