KyzBP and UnderCoverGeek have a great AAR running on our forum here.  They've only made it to April 1942, but it seems to be running strong!  Check out the thread (or at least, the Allied side of it) at http://grogheads.com/forums/index.php?topic=13998.0!

One other question for folks here:  Does anybody know if this game runs on Windows 10?  I'm definitely buying it the next time it goes on sale, but not if it won't run on my machine...   :o

Thanks FarAwaySooner...I have been following the aar in these forums and learning from it. I just got this game during the last holiday sale. The Operation Glacier ongoing aar (the link is posted earlier in this thread) was quite well done but seems to be in a hiatus or something.  Regarding Windows 10....I'm running the game on Windows 10, it required inputting some 'switches' in the .exe file to fix an issue many of us had with the screens taking 4-5 seconds to open and close during gameplay. There is a long thread in the Matrix forums on how to do this. I'm computer handicapped but was able to do it relatively easy. Since then the game has run very well.

I have had a hankering to fire this bad boy up again.  I am downloading from Matrix and installing on my laptop...will I have the stamina to stick with it?

There just isn't another game that does the Pacific as well as WiTP:AE.

The question is will he have uninstalled it before the weekend?

I say no, because he hasn't made any scotch fueled posts about the game's complexity.

Toonces has a better chance of running the Patriots offense than figuring out WitP:AE.

If I survive Origins and you're still playing the game, we can talk about it.

I wonder if it will be cheaper on steam? Wait it's not on steam. War in the East is.
Is this WEGO. Or do ships get to evade each other by taking turns that let the chase become less dynamic?
I want to get this as a mate really wants opponents for it in his time zone here down under.

Hope the steam sales somehow make this one cheaper.

It is WEGO.  Play the smallest possible scenarios to get a feel for it before you get into the whole war.
