360 Panorama View from Mars Rover

Looking at it I was like, "meh its looks like a desert" then it hit me, "it might be a desert, but thats on Mars and thats just awesome."


The picture is nothing ground breaking in terms of something we didn't know was there.  But the quality and realizing where and what the picture is of, its a little mind blowing.

Tingle up the neck stuff, just amazing to think about. That reminds me of when the first Viking pix came back, and when the first rovers started to roam. BTW, use your arrow keys after clicking a spot on the image to pan and tilt in case the mouse-drag spins things too much.

...wait until we hopefully get those kind of pics of at least 1.8 billion year old eroded 'coral riffs by Precambrian-time precursors' probably "Martian-Stromatolites" (bacteria-slime baked into layers for non scientists) then! 8)
(completed with Alpha-particle ray backscatter- and IR-spectroscopic- analysis to prove its not just some strange geological artifact produced by wind, sterile water and erosion)
