Decades Feeder Bracket - 1964 Round of 16

1964 was a tremendous year for music.  The Beatles burst on to the scene, kicking off the British Invasion.  Motown was cranking out hits you could dance to seemingly every week.  Surf music was sweeping the nation.  And a host of girl groups, boy bands, one hit wonders and debuts of future giants in the industry.  A lot of good songs got left off that may see the light of day in another Bracket. 

In the meantime, a word on seeding.  Many times, I find it easy to justify a song as a low seed.  Or something you don't like having such a high seed.  I try to defend those seeds by virtue of the others it's up against.  But, in 1964, the seeds only serve as place markers for holding together the themes.  I don't really think Glad All Over is a 16.  I also don't think The Four Tops or Mary Wells deserve double digit seeds either.  But it was too good to pass up making four song blocks following a style: British Invasion versus British Invasion, or Motown versus Motown.  So if you see something you don't agree with 1) tough and 2) it really doesn't mean anything in the end anyways.  So, thank you again for voting and have at!
