Decades Feeder Bracket - 1975 Round of 16

Once again music has produced a year chock full of songs that I could get two more brackets out of.  And all of them are good.  That's why the seeding doesn't seem fair at all to me this year.  We have two clear cut front runners in Bohemian Rhapsody and Kashmir, but, Heart doesn't deserve to go against Zep.  Pink Floyd versus Bruce Springsteen?  C'mon, man!  That's just wrong.  But years like this make me happy to put together.  So many awesome tunes.  Well, time to vote.  And thank you all for once again following along with me.

1975-78 were very strong years in music.  Rock was maturing, pop wasn't too bad, and even disco produced some good songs.  Those years were also my high school years (actually 75-79), so it was a great time to be a teen.

The songs in the bracket are very solid, and you probably could have filled another bracket for 1975 without too much trouble.  Lots of songs I really like.  By far, this year is going to present the hardest choices I've had so far.

This one was actually fairly easy for me, with only the 6-11 and 7-10 making me pause for a moment.

I get why all the songs were ones you chose, and they deserve to be there; I just don't like half of them...

Good choices, Dawg, but you're killing me with undervaluing Springsteen. You had his biggest hit, "Born in the USA", at a 4 or 5 when it could have arguably been seeded #1 instead of Prince and now his breakout hit, "Born to Run" at 11. Damn, brother....show a little respect for The Boss, willya?!

'Born To Run,' and '10th Avenue Freeze Out,' are two of my favorite Bruce songs.  But, growing up where I did, I got super burnt out on 'Bruce Juice.'  That doesn't entirely account for the seeding.  Part of how I do this is to come up with the songs I want to include, then do the seeding.  Other than the 1 and the 2, almost all the rest of the seeds are more about fitting genres together or setting up next round matchups.  So, it's not an intentional slight, just the easiest place to put them ;)

Glad I could help you relive your teenage years through song  O0  Even more glad that you find the choices difficult.  I really had to agonize over what to include and then agonize some more about how to vote them.  And you are certainly welcome.  This is a labor of love and I am just glad that some of you enjoy it enough to help me along.   :bd:
