It's official. Disney is pulling the Star Wars and Marvel movies from Netflix.

Not really..  only a couple IIRC.  Doctor Strange, Rogue One, and that older SW animated series (Clone Wars?).

The vast majority aren't on Netflix. 


F'ing Disney.  The Borg of the film industry.

There were a few others - Civil War, the first Iron Man. Not sure how many actually made it on to Netflix. I didn't pay close attention.

The old deal gave Netflix exclusive rights to stream almost everything Disney released after January 1, 2016. That's what is going to end when Disney starts its own service.

Maybe Disney's service will actually let people outside the U.S to watch those movies/shows.... here's hoping.

It might actually work out better for you in that regard. A big part of the problem with the licensing deals for Netflix are negotiating all the various regions. I'm guessing Disney will be able to stream its own content wherever it wants.
