One of my co-workers turned me on to Vietnamese coffee beer. They're a local brewer but I guess it could be found outside of this region. It's got a kick to it, but it's damned expensive. $3.15 per can at Specs (not sure if you have them, but they're a big chain of liquor stores here), or $51.12 for a 24-pack.

Here on the East Coast of the USA we have a limited release seasonal beer from Dogfishhead Brewery called '120 Minute IPA' which clocks in at 15-20% ABV. This year I was able to buy up the entire stock that a local store got- just 12 bottles.

^ That's pretty interesting.  I'm not sure how I'd like that, I really don't enjoy IPAs, so a beer that tastes more IPA'y might not be the beer I'm looking for.

I really like a Sam Adams called Thirteenth Hour, which is much higher alcohol content but I'm not sure what the ABV is.

Anyway, on topic, holy crap it is no joke out there today.  Brrrrrr......

I wish I could relate to you guys that enjoy this.  I was driving to the dump, and I had to put on some reggae on the Sirius to transport myself to the islands.  No fun.  No fun at all outside today.  Feet were toasty though!   8)

The town I lived in from 2005-2008 had a town dump that had a great 'want-not' corner and small bookswap shed. I really miss that where I now live. The swap spot got to be so well known that many local antique store owners and Ebay sellers would stake the place out and spend hours waiting for someone to drop off cool stuff. The town finally had to institute a 10 minute stay limit so regular folks could get past them to the big garbage transfer trailers.

The dump is pretty small, just a big opening chute thing to throw in garbage, and there's a table and some space around it to put give away stuff.  I've gotten all kinds of cool things, a windsurfer, aquariums, the door I used to make my desk, and so on.  Today there was a pile of books and I was thumbing through them and saw this one.  Pretty stoked.  I mean, it's soft cover, but it's brand new and free, and it's a book I actually want to read.  So winning!
