was looking at decisive campaigns barbarossa and have a question for the guys that have played it. i might not ever play the thing through once but how is replayability? do you always get the same choices at certain points or dates? and can you game the system by making the "correct" choice if there is such a thing? thanks for any replies, answers, etc...

I think it's very replayable. Some of the decision points are set as to when they show up others may or may not show up based on what is happening in the campaign and how you are doing. At each decision point the choice will be the same but again what you choose may not be the same each time based on what is happening in the field. I don't think there is a way to game the system, there are just so many combinations that it would take hundreds of play throughs to find an optimal path.
Also playing the Germans is very different from play as the Russians. Their decision structures are completely different and very focused on their particular part of the war.
It truly is a great achievement in wargaming.

There's also a sort of free setup variant, you can redeploy within a given area.

Make sure you check Fanatical before buying something on Steam. Some of their prices are comparable to Steam, and they're offering a coupon code (WINTER10) to take another 10% off.

For example, Fallout 4 is 14.99 on Steam. On Fanatical it's 14.69. Minus another 10 percent is (lessee, carry the five, square root, onomatopoeia differential) ...13.22. Not a lot but if you're buying a bunch, check them out.

But does Fanatical have a comparable refund policy to Steam?  Just something to consider, especially if you're buying a game outside your genre comfort zone.
