"They told me I couldn't wear 18 anymore because it's a gang number and I had to take it off," said Konnor Vanatta during an interview with FOX31 Denver on Tuesday.

Vanatta, a third grader in the Weld County School System, was disappointed to learn that the number 18 is considered to represent gang affiliations and is not allowed on clothing inside county classrooms.

This PC garbage is out of control.  If the number 18 is truly a gang symbol, I'm sure a little rational thought would seperate the gangbanger from the 3erd grader wearing the QB jersey for his favorite team.  Although I'm sure that would be considered profiling and racist.  Good grief.

For the uninformed, "81" is Hells Angels, lol. I have no idea what "18" is in reference to.

or here's a thought - do something about the gang problem, rather than just poke at the non-sequitor 'affiliated' images such that even 3rd-graders get caught up in the stupid 'symptom control'
