I am an unashamed SRV fan.  One of the great regrets in my life is not seeing him at a venue close to home that I had tickets for but no ride about a month before he died.  Thank God I had seen him the year before opening for Robert Plant.  I love me some Stevie Ray.  But, Prince is just as big a musical force in my life as SRV.  And Purple Rain is just such an iconic song.  I am so stuck for what to do.  Hope you are, too.

I suspect if I really thought about it, there's more songs in Prince's catalog that I like than there are SRV tunes.  But Purple Rain ain't one of them; it just bores me.  And Crossfire is one of the SRV tunes I really like.
