Trailrunner, glad you're all OK and the house isn't messed-up too bad. After Hurricane Irma I noticed some kinds of trees made it through and other kinds did not. I think somebody should figure all this out and put Warning Labels on them. They can do.... tree-mendous damage.

Thanks for the well-wishes.  After spending the morning at La Madeline, a local bistro chain, I'm up and running at my daughter's apartment.  La Madeline was crazy busy because there are a lot of people in the area without power.

This is one of those weekends when everything seemed to converge.  I have a big task at work I'm trying through.  It's my daughter's birthday this weekend and time to visit my mom in the rest home.  I had a friend visiting from Japan.  I'm in the process of applying for a job that takes a *ton* of paperwork, documentation, and essays, and the deadline is this Wednesday.  It's never a good time for a tree to hit my house, but if it's going to happen, I would have preferred to schedule it for next weekend.

Ah well, otherwise life is great so no complaints.   :bd:
